Flight from Lusaka to Mfuwe
On arrival at Lusaka Airport, you will connect onto a domestic scheduled flight to Mfuwe Airport, where a guide will welcome you and take you to Chichele Presidential Lodge — your home for three nights in the South Luangwa.
Chichele Presidential Lodge — South Luangwa
Chichele Presidential Lodge holds the South Luangwa’s prime vantage point, with 360-degree views in a stunning wildlife location of rivers, streams, floodplains and forests. Originally built as a holiday home for Zambia’s founding President, Dr Kenneth Kaunda, it is now owned by Chichele Safaris and operated by Chiawa Safaris.
Reimagined and rebuilt to the highest standards, Chichele is one of Africa’s most luxurious safari lodges — a unique offering providing sanctuary for guests who want a contemporary, luxurious lodge with a serious safari pedigree. Tall arches, expansive decks with private plunge pools, outdoor dining and showers, air-conditioning and WiFi complement sumptuous beds, huge baths and world-class décor.
The Safari Lounge linking two of the rooms makes for the most beautiful family retreat in Zambia. A world-class spa, yoga deck, gym and infinity lap pool complete the experience. Managed by the Cumings family, service delivery matches their other camps — Puku Ridge, Chiawa and Old Mondoro.

- Walking safaris
- Safari sundowners

Each suite opens onto a wooden deck with a circular plunge pool — lanterns glowing as dusk settles over the Luangwa valley.

Stacked logs, stone fireplace and a wall of books — the perfect retreat after a day on safari.
Indoor-outdoor bathrooms
Marble vanities, arched mirrors and glass doors opening onto a private outdoor shower — luxury in every detail.
World-class suites
Tufted headboards, safari-print pillows and beaded chandeliers — every room decorated to world-class standards.
Flight from Mfuwe to the Lower Zambezi
You will be transferred to Mfuwe Airport for a scheduled domestic flight to Jeki Airstrip in the Lower Zambezi National Park. A guide will welcome you and take you to Chiawa Camp — your home for the next four nights.
Chiawa Camp — Lower Zambezi National Park
The family-owned, multi-award-winning Chiawa Camp is the pioneer of the Lower Zambezi — the first camp on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River. Zambia’s premier luxury safari camp, Chiawa offers a gentle, unhurried experience with a diverse range of activities from game drives to heart-stopping walks, canoeing, boating and angling — all in the company of Africa’s finest guides.
Each of the nine luxury tents boasts spectacular views over the Zambezi and its vast array of resident wildlife — elephant, lion, leopard, hippo and much more. One tent, the Safari Suite, is larger with its own deck and pool. Every tent has a bathtub plus indoor and outdoor showers, large comfortable beds and stylish furnishings.
Spend time on the river cruising with a drink in hand, watching animals and birds on the bank, or try your hand at catching a tigerfish — Africa’s most aggressive freshwater game-fish and a specialty of the Zambezi.

Mukwa River Lodge — Livingstone
Mukwa River Lodge opened in 2022, located some 30 kilometres upstream from Victoria Falls. This small, intimate camp comprises four river-facing suites, two island suites, one family cottage and one three-bedroom house — all blending seamlessly into their natural surroundings.
Built on the bank of the Zambezi with a lagoon incorporated into the design, water is an ever-present element of your stay. The creativity behind the camp’s design is matched only by the composition of each meal, using largely locally sourced ingredients with presentation that surpasses anything in Zambia.
