Flight from Lusaka to Mfuwe
On arrival at Lusaka Airport, you will connect onto a domestic scheduled flight to Mfuwe Airport, where a guide will welcome you and take you to Lion Camp — your home during your three-night stay in Zambia's game-rich South Luangwa National Park.
Lion Camp — South Luangwa National Park
Famously known as the Pride of South Luangwa, Lion Camp has ten rooms — seven luxury suites and three deluxe suites — sleeping 20 guests. It is the northernmost camp on the west bank of the Luangwa accessible from the main Mfuwe area. By the time you reach camp you have left the busier Mfuwe area far behind.
Lagoons near camp, rich riverine vegetation and mixed woodland support a high carrying capacity, so game-viewing is usually very good. Tents are raised on stilts overlooking an ox-bow lagoon and the dambo beyond, each connected to the central area by a wooden walkway several metres above ground.
The main area is a large, open, spacious and airy thatched space with private nooks, seating areas and a beautifully designed pool. There is a well-stocked bar, full-size snooker table, coffee station, shopping area and reading corner. The openness of the lodge affords spectacular views of the plains with wildlife constantly passing.
Due to its remote location, Lion Camp is only open from 21 May through 31 October. A minimum stay of three nights is recommended to get the most from your visit.

Bar and dining
Settle into woven bar stools as the sun dips — brick and timber details, African art and the bush just beyond the canvas.
Canopy beds and private decks
Each suite maximises spectacular views of the plains — four-poster beds draped in mosquito netting, polished wood floors and private decks for wildlife watching from your room.
Flight from Mfuwe to Jeki Airstrip
Your guide will transfer you to Mfuwe Airport for a scheduled domestic flight to Jeki Airstrip in the Lower Zambezi National Park. At Jeki, a guide will welcome you and take you to Anabezi Camp.
Anabezi Camp — Lower Zambezi National Park
Built in 2013 on a site with decades of safari history, Anabezi features very large custom-designed tents on raised decks — each with a separate sitting area, indoor and outdoor bathrooms, and a private plunge pool on the deck.
Modern comfort and authentic African luxury come together at Dulini Anabezi in one of Africa's finest game viewing destinations. Twelve tented suites overlook the Zambezi River, Zambezi Floodplain or Kulefu Channel, each with an indoor ensuite bathroom featuring a Victorian-style soaking tub and an outdoor shower.
All rooms are connected to the main areas by a raised wooden boardwalk, designed for maximum privacy. The family tent features two connected rooms sharing the same viewing deck and plunge pool. Operating months are April through mid-November.

Indoor–outdoor living
Leopard-print cushions, polished hardwood and rope-trimmed canvas partitions — every detail speaks to bush luxury.
Flights from Jeki to Lusaka to Busanga
Your guide will drop you at Jeki Airstrip for a scheduled domestic flight to Lusaka. On arrival, you will connect onto a shared charter flight to Busanga Plains, where a guide will welcome you and take you to Shumba Camp for three nights in Kafue National Park.
Shumba Camp — Kafue National Park
One of the Wilderness Premier Camps, Shumba accommodates 12 guests in as much luxury as you will find in the Kafue. Set in the central Busanga Plains, it opens for just five months each year — one of the most exclusive safari destinations in Africa.
Remote and exclusive, Shumba occupies its own little island in the midst of the floodplains, overlooking miles of channels threaded through open grassland. Six luxury suites on raised wooden platforms offer front-row seats to dramatic wildlife encounters.
The camp sits on an island crowned with fig trees that shade the whole affair. From Shumba's contemporary deck you are immersed in exceptional diversity — more antelope species than anywhere else in Africa, plus leopard, hyena, cheetah and the star attraction, the 'flying lions' leaping over drying channels.

Predators and plains game
Busanga's open floodplains deliver some of Zambia's most thrilling sightings — from rhino calves grazing to lions hunting across the channels.
Flights from Busanga to Lusaka to Livingstone
You will be transferred to Busanga Airstrip for a shared charter flight to Lusaka, where you connect onto a scheduled flight to Livingstone. At Livingstone Airport, a guide will welcome you and take you to Toka Leya Camp.
Toka Leya Camp — Livingstone
Toka Leya offers front-row seats to a daily wilderness spectacle on the banks of the Zambezi River. Elegant and airy, the camp is the ideal luxury base from which to enjoy Mosi-oa-Tunya's thrilling wildlife and adrenaline activities.
Just a short drive from Victoria Falls — one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World — Toka Leya has a featherlight footprint. The lounge, dining area, bar, pool deck and 12 generous tented suites are raised on wooden decks so as not to disturb the parade of wildlife. Three suites are family units with an extra bedroom.
The lodge has its own boats for river cruises and game-viewing vehicles for drives. A spa on site and Wilderness Safaris' low-carbon operation — solar-heated water, tree planting and a worm-farm waste treatment plant — complete the experience.
