Flight from Lusaka to Mfuwe
On arrival at Lusaka Airport, you will connect onto a domestic scheduled flight to Mfuwe Airport, where a guide will welcome you and take you to Kakuli Camp — your home for three nights in Zambia’s game-rich South Luangwa National Park.
Kakuli Camp — South Luangwa National Park
Kakuli, meaning an old buffalo bull, was a nickname given by the locals to Norman Carr, the pioneer of walking safaris in Zambia.
Its five bright and airy safari rooms (including a two-bedroom, two-bathroom family safari room) are designed to make the most of the panoramic setting, each offering a feather-top bed, indoor and outdoor showers and a covered open-air seating area. The elevated main lounge overlooks the river and a permanent lagoon. Watch wildlife visit for a drink, take a deep breath and admire the sweeping vistas.
The camp makes a great base for exploring by vehicle and on foot, with a resident lion pride, a seasonal colony of jewel-like carmine bee-eaters and some of the best leopard sightings in a single drive every year. During the lush emerald “green season,” venture out by boat and on foot for outstanding wildlife and landscape photography.

Flight from Mfuwe to the Lower Zambezi
You will be transferred to Mfuwe Airport for a scheduled domestic flight to Jeki Airstrip in the Lower Zambezi National Park. A guide will welcome you and take you to Potato Bush Camp — your home for the next three nights.
Potato Bush Camp — Lower Zambezi National Park
Potato Bush Camp is one of the best value-for-experience safari destinations in the Lower Zambezi. The camp comprises only three suites and one family house, all connected via raised walkways — ideal to book exclusively. Private guiding on land and water is guaranteed, with free transfer flights on every four-night stay.
The highly trained team, spacious tent rooms with private plunge pools, and an endless list of activities make this riverfront camp a favourite for family safaris — while keeping much of its original bush feel, elevated by wildlife that wanders freely through camp.
The three luxurious safari tents and one extensive family house are light, spacious and designed to maximise Zambezi River views. Each comes with its own plunge pool and outdoor lounge space. Game-viewing is excellent, and fishing is good in this stretch of the river.

Flight to the Busanga Plains
You will be transferred to Jeki Airstrip for a scenic shared charter flight to the Busanga Plains in Kafue National Park. At Busanga Airstrip, a guide will welcome you and take you to Chisa Busanga Camp for your final three nights.
Chisa Busanga Camp — Kafue National Park
After falling in love with the Busanga Plains, Green Safaris built Chisa Busanga Camp to echo its surrounds through beautiful architecture and environmentally conscious design.
Chisa is the Nyanja word for “bird’s nest,” and the rooms were inspired by the weaver nests that decorate the trees here. Sitting on a small tree-lined island, the camp uses only solar power — as do the game-drive vehicles used to explore the watery dambos beyond.
The four Nests blend seamlessly into the wild outdoors while delivering creature comforts inside. Built four metres off the ground and shaded by terminalia trees, each Nest offers expansive views from a luxurious bed, private outdoor deck and indoor/outdoor shower. Wooden steps lead to a canvas-lined haven with a modern en-suite bathroom and soft linens.
